Very Bad Deaths was a humorous, well-written and extremely exciting sci-fi thriller. Spider Robinson (succeeded again)at creating a vivid world populated by interesting, eccentric characters. The fact that the book was set in and around Vancouver made it even more fun to read.

I was a bit reluctant to pick this up, thinking that nothing could be as good as his Callahan books, but I am so glad I read this. A real page-turner, it grabbed me and took me on a rollercoaster of emotions.
